Welcome to the Teaching
Assistant Programs homepage at the University of Connecticut. Teaching Assistant
Programs offers services, workshops and orientations for graduate teaching
assistants. Our mission is to support our graduate instructors in all their
various roles across campus to ensure success in the classroom for them and
for their students.
In addition to the more general services related to training
our future professoriate, we also offer specialized language and culture
support for International Teaching Assistants. We offer pre-semester
orientations for all TAs both in August and in January, and beginning in
Fall 2003 there
will be additional workshops ongoing throughout the semester. Individual
consultations and videotaping are also available upon request.
