ITA Programs

The International Teaching Assistant Program is designed to meet the diverse language and pedagogical needs of international teaching assistants and the departments in which they teach. In the ITA classes, instructors and undergraduates work with the ITAs in small groups and on an individual basis. The courses are designed to help the ITAs meet the English proficiency requirement of the University of Connecticut as well as to prepare them for their role as classroom or lab instructors.
